Nepal Art Dogs

Shahi’s studio is in the Lakeside district of Pokhara.  

The first time I met Shahi, he surprised me by choosing the photo of a Papillion from the stack of photos offered.   The third time I ordered signs, Shahi subcontracted the Dogs to Ram Badahur Lama.    Next trip, he had lost his studio and seemed distracted by his personal problems.

In 2012, I again found Shahi.   Now he paints acrylic on canvas for the tourist shops of Pokhara.
